HOME PICTURES POLICIES/RATES ACTIVITIES/   CONTACT US                                                                               GUEST COTTAGE          Our Guest Cottage is close to  Poplar Ridge Cabin and can be rented together for larger groups.          It accommodates 7 to 8 comfortably with  two bedrooms,  two bathrooms and has a fully equipped         kitchen.  One bedroom has one queen, one single bed.  The second bedroom has one double, one         single bed.  The living area has a queen sleeper sofa.  The Guest Cottage has an 8 person outside         hot tub with one of the most breath-taking views in the high country.  The Guest Cottage has a         gas grill, a  picnic table, swing and hiking trails.                                                         DRIVING DIRECTIONS        ELIZABETHTON,  JOHNSON CITY,  KNOXVILLE,  TN:    In Johnson City, Tennessee exit        I-26 onto Hwy. 67.   Follow Hwy 67  through Elizabethton, TN.  Turn right onto Hwy 19-E        toward Roan Mountain,  and the North Carolina   state line.   Follow 19-E all the way        across the NC state line(Approximately 24 miles)  and thru the town of Elk Park,   NC.         You will turn left onto hwy 194-N.   Times Square  Diner is  at the intersection.  Go 2.1 miles and        pass a country store( The Store at Heaton ). 100 yards past this store, turn left onto Old Beech        Mountain Rd.   Go up  Old Beech Mountain Road  2.3 miles.  Poplar Ridge Cabin        is on the right. (2306)  The Guest   Cottage is one-half (.5) mile past Poplar Ridge Cabin       driveway. (2778)        WINSTON SALEM,  GREENSBORO,  RALEIGH  NC:    HWY. 421-N.  to Boone. Turn LEFT        onto HWY. 105, 1/4 mile past the Toyota dealership on your right. You will come 1 mile to        HWY. 321. Continue straight ahead, passing the   WENDY'S on your left. ***Follow the        directions from WENDY'S IN BOONE below.       HICKORY,  CHARLOTTE:    HWY. 321-N.  to Boone. Pass Boone Mall to HWY. 105. Turn       LEFT at WENDY'S onto HWY. 105. ***Follow directions from WENDY'S IN BOONE below.       WENDY'S  IN  BOONE:  Follow HWY. 105, 17 miles to stoplight past Eckerd's Drug Store on       right, and Lowe's Foods on the left. Turn RIGHT onto HWY 184.  ***Drive 4 miles to stoplight in       Banner Elk.  Turn LEFT onto HWY.  194.    Just past  Lees-MCree college, the road will fork .       Stay to the left on hwy 194!!!  Do not fork right onto 184. (Ski   Beech Road)  Now that you       are on 194 - stay on this road approximately 4.8 miles.  Turn right just before old blue-grey       2 story building.  This is Old Beech Mountain Rd. or Sr 1308. Go up Old Beech Mountain       Rd. 2.3  miles. Poplar Ridge Cabin   is on the right. (2306).  The Guest Cottage is one-half       (.5) mile past Poplar Ridge Cabin driveway. (2778)       GREENVILLE,  SPARTANGURG,  SOUTH CAROLINA  and  ATLANTA,  GEORGIA:        Follow HWY. 221   N. through Marion,  NC and into Linville,  NC.  At the stoplight in       Linville, turn LEFT onto HWY.  105.  Follow   HWY.  105,  4 miles to the stoplight.   Turn left       onto HWY.  184. Follow directions in red above from the ***.
